Event At A Glance

WHEN: June 20th through June 22nd, ALL DAY for three days. (You'll want to fly in on Thursday and fly out late Sunday or get yourself an extra night and stick around until Monday.)

WHERE: Salt Lake City, Utah.

COST: $2,000 with an absolute cap of 100 players!

WHO: A pile of paintball pros and celebrities, including Greg Hastings (if you don't know who he is you should ask for an X-Box for Christmas,) a bunch of paintball media, the Special Ops Paintball Factory Crew and around sixty fellow Brigade Members who have come to take their game to the next level and party with the best and brightest woodsballers out there.

WHY: If you have to ask, then you're probably not a sick enough paintball fiend to see the beauty in three days of intense paintball action and partying.

RESTRICTIONS: Unfortunately, we can't allow players under the age of 15. Players 15 to 18 must have signed parental permission. Any health or fitness limitations MUST be shared with event staff.

GEAR: Attendees will receive tons of free gear and will have chances to win a bunch of other stuff. You should bring your gearbag (gun, goggles, air tank, camo. . . All the junk you haul around when you play.) Bring a backup marker if you have one. All paint and air will be provided, compliments of Draxxus.

ACCOMODATIONS: Your hotel stay this year is included in the registration fee!

TRANSPORTATION: You pay for your own airfare and Special Ops will provide transportation to and from events. Everything's fairly close by, but we'll be driving you around on the "short bus" (just like in school.)

FOOD: Most major meals will be provided by Special Ops Paintball. Bring some cash for breakfast or whatever.

LEGAL STUFF: Of course, you'll sign waivers and agreements to abide by safety rules etc.. Also, if you're under 18, you'll need full, signed parental permission (Download the Elite Weekend Waiver/Parental Consent Form - this is a PDF file - Please fax your waiver "Attention SERF" to 801-294-3134). Also, we'll need players to keep their paintball gear stowed when we're traveling around town and going in-and-out of the hotels. We love our community and we want to provide the best possible impression about our sport.

The Whole Story

If you still haven't gotten the picture so far, or you'd just like to keep reading and drooling over the Elite Weekend, here's the long version:

Picture in your mind the three most astounding days of woods paintball you could possibly imagine. Now, register for the Special Ops Elite Weekend and LIVE the dream! The Special Ops Elite Weekend promises to bring the ultimate paintball fantasy to life, and provide a bundle of jaw-dropping, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Here's a hint of what's to come:

This is pretty much the most radical woodsball event we could come up with in our wildest imagination.

During three whirlwind days, Salt Lake City, Utah will host the most intense, extreme paintball experience ever devised by man. Only 100 players will be allowed to participate in this exclusive event and the action will be insane. Here's the play-by-play:

Will I get Elite Status from the Elite Weekend?

Friday, Day One

Having arrived the night before, the players will get together at the 23,000 square foot Special Ops headquarters and suit up for the day's events. Each player will receive an Ultralite Fusion Jersey, Pants and Broadsword vest (or any other of our amazing vests), all in the incredibly amazing OmniPat pattern. That's right: free OmniPat camo, a free vest and a bunch of other free gear (even a free X-7!).

We can't spend the day there however because you're here to play PAINTBALL! We'll be off to a new event... The Gauntlet! Can you get your team through? You'll have all sorts of surprises to challenge you along the way... success will bring a wealth of prizes!

Then, the players will attend field position clinics taught and hosted by paintball celebrities and Special Ops Factory Team members. As soon as the clinics wrap up, the players will split up and take it to the legendary Special Ops Retribution field to mix it up in a monster SPPL-style, Scenario Challenge game. Of course, merciless prize-giving will follow the game. . .

After a barbecue dinner Elite players will head into the night to meet each other in some head-to-head nightvision paintball action on the Upper Retribution field. ALL night vision devices will be provided (on loan) by Special Ops.

Saturday, Day Two

While the morning dew still glistens on the ground, the Elite players will return to the Special Ops field for a heart-pumping series of extreme paintball adventures.

For starters, every player will have the opportunity to tear off some rounds behind their choice of over 30, true-blue, full-auto machine guns, including the MP-5, AR-15, Mac 10, Uzi, Thompson, AK-47, FN-FAL, G3, Sten, Grease Gun, M249 SAW and M60. Can you say Hoorah!?

Tiberius Arms will also present a walk-through-the-jungle pistol shooting competition with the super-sweet Tiberius 8 paintball pistol and one of every ten players will come away with a new Tiberius 8 as a victory prize.

Players will then cycle through three intense paintball scenarios. First, 15-man teams will be formed and will be given a sniper/recon LRRP mission into the forest. After that action subsides, they'll then be sent out on a downed pilot rescue mission where they'll face an OpFor (Opposition Force) squad of some of the best players around competing to find the downed pilot and return him to safety. Lastly, the teams will each mount an assault on an enemy position carrying the new Tippmann X-7 markers, fully equipped.

After burning about 5,000 calories and 10 million paintballs on the hillsides above Salt Lake City, the players will rest, shower, then regroup at Jayson Orvis' home (co-founder of Special Ops) for a night of partying, pizza, movies and network video gaming.

Sunday, Day Three

After a huge day and a late night Saturday, hopefully you didn't party too hard because the Grand Finale is about to start! Buses will leave at 8am for the main event! Outside of Salt Lake City awaits the Special Ops Elite Mountain Field that will play home to an epic tank-on-tank, anti-tank, helicopter-buzzing, all-out paintball extravaganza.

The Panzerwagen and the Razorback, manned by Elite Weekend players, will go head-to-head against each other and against a horde of anti-tank-wielding paintball tank-killers. Rockets and anti-tank markers will be issued along with the regular host of paintball infantry gear.

A helicopter will join the fight, shuttling players behind enemy lines for surprise insertions. Each team will be hammering away at each other for prizes and bragging rights as victors of the ultimate paintball experience.

In the afternoon, once all the paint is shot up and players are exhausted, we'll retreat to the Special Ops store to award final prizes, including two sportsmanship awards and two MVP prizes – both of which will include an all-expenses paid return trip to the next Elite Weekend to participate as an instructor.

Details

The Elite Weekend will take place Friday, June 22nd through Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Numerous paintball celebrity guest instructors and representatives of the paintball media will be on-hand to coach players and record the events of the weekend for all the paintball world to see.

Over $80,000 worth of prizes will be awarded to Elite players that weekend. That's over $800 per player in high-tech, paintball equipment!!

Only 100 players will be allowed to register for this power-packed event.
