Will I get Elite Status from the Elite Weekend?
Friday, Day One
Having arrived the night before, the players will get together at the 23,000 square foot Special Ops headquarters and suit up for the day's events. Each player will receive an Ultralite Fusion Jersey, Pants and Broadsword vest (or any other of our amazing vests), all in the incredibly amazing OmniPat pattern. That's right: free OmniPat camo, a free vest and a bunch of other free gear (even a free X-7!).We can't spend the day there however because you're here to play PAINTBALL! We'll be off to a new event... The Gauntlet! Can you get your team through? You'll have all sorts of surprises to challenge you along the way... success will bring a wealth of prizes!
Then, the players will attend field position clinics taught and hosted by paintball celebrities and Special Ops Factory Team members. As soon as the clinics wrap up, the players will split up and take it to the legendary Special Ops Retribution field to mix it up in a monster SPPL-style, Scenario Challenge game. Of course, merciless prize-giving will follow the game. . .
After a barbecue dinner Elite players will head into the night to meet each other in some head-to-head nightvision paintball action on the Upper Retribution field. ALL night vision devices will be provided (on loan) by Special Ops.Saturday, Day Two
While the morning dew still glistens on the ground, the Elite players will return to the Special Ops field for a heart-pumping series of extreme paintball adventures. For starters, every player will have the opportunity to tear off some rounds behind their choice of over 30, true-blue, full-auto machine guns, including the MP-5, AR-15, Mac 10, Uzi, Thompson, AK-47, FN-FAL, G3, Sten, Grease Gun, M249 SAW and M60. Can you say Hoorah!?
Tiberius Arms will also present a walk-through-the-jungle pistol shooting competition with the super-sweet Tiberius 8 paintball pistol and one of every ten players will come away with a new Tiberius 8 as a victory prize.
Players will then cycle through three intense paintball scenarios. First, 15-man teams will be formed and will be given a sniper/recon LRRP mission into the forest. After that action subsides, they'll then be sent out on a downed pilot rescue mission where they'll face an OpFor (Opposition Force) squad of some of the best players around competing to find the downed pilot and return him to safety. Lastly, the teams will each mount an assault on an enemy position carrying the new Tippmann X-7 markers, fully equipped.
After burning about 5,000 calories and 10 million paintballs on the hillsides above Salt Lake City, the players will rest, shower, then regroup at Jayson Orvis' home (co-founder of Special Ops) for a night of partying, pizza, movies and network video gaming.Sunday, Day Three
After a huge day and a late night Saturday, hopefully you didn't party too hard because the Grand Finale is about to start! Buses will leave at 8am for the main event! Outside of Salt Lake City awaits the Special Ops Elite Mountain Field that will play home to an epic tank-on-tank, anti-tank, helicopter-buzzing, all-out paintball extravaganza. The Panzerwagen and the Razorback, manned by Elite Weekend players, will go head-to-head against each other and against a horde of anti-tank-wielding paintball tank-killers. Rockets and anti-tank markers will be issued along with the regular host of paintball infantry gear.
A helicopter will join the fight, shuttling players behind enemy lines for surprise insertions. Each team will be hammering away at each other for prizes and bragging rights as victors of the ultimate paintball experience.
In the afternoon, once all the paint is shot up and players are exhausted, we'll retreat to the Special Ops store to award final prizes, including two sportsmanship awards and two MVP prizes – both of which will include an all-expenses paid return trip to the next Elite Weekend to participate as an instructor.Details
